The origins of Carignano has to be found on the southern shores of the Mediterranean basin, from where it was introduced in Spain in the XII century. In Sardinia was introduced by the Spanish as "Grapes of Spain". From Carignano's grapes is obtained an intense ruby red color wine, winy smell and pleasant scent that is dry to the palate, fruity and harmonious. The production area corresponds to the south-west coast of Sardinia, known as Sulcis.
